BEFORE YOU REQUEST DELETION
You may request deletion of your Firearm Competency App and Firearm Competency Tests account at any time.
This page explains how to submit your request, how your identity will be verified, which information will be deleted, and which limited records may need to be retained for legal, security, or accounting purposes.
HOW TO REQUEST DELETION
You may request deletion of your Firearm Competency App and Firearm Competency Tests account by completing the account deletion request form on this page.
Please provide the email address or username linked to your account so that we can locate the correct profile.
You may also contact us through our official support channel and request account deletion. Requests must clearly identify the Firearm Competency App or Firearm Competency Tests account that you want deleted.
Submitting a deletion request does not immediately delete your account. We must first verify that the request was made by the account owner.
WHAT DATA WILL BE DELETED
Once your identity has been verified and the request has been approved, we will delete or anonymise personal information that is no longer required, which may include:
• Your LMS user account
• Your name, username, email address, and profile information
• Saved account preferences
• Course enrolments
• Course progress and completion records
• Quiz attempts, answers, scores, and results
• Certificates linked to the deleted account
• Wishlist information
• Learner messages and other account-related content
• App-specific identifiers and preferences associated with your account
Deleting your account may permanently remove access to purchased courses, progress records, quiz results, and certificates.
This information may not be recoverable after deletion.
WHAT DATA MAY LEGALLY BE RETAINED
Certain information may be retained where this is required or permitted by law, or where it is reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes.
This may include:
• WooCommerce order and transaction records
• Tax, accounting, audit, and financial records
• Records required to resolve disputes or enforce agreements
• Fraud-prevention and security records
• Records needed to comply with legal, regulatory, or law-enforcement obligations
• Limited evidence showing that an account deletion request was received and processed
Any retained information will be restricted, securely stored, and used only for the reason for which it must be retained. HOW YOUR IDENTITY WILL BE VERIFIED
To protect accounts against fraudulent or unauthorised deletion requests, we may verify your identity using one or more of the following methods:
• Sending a confirmation message to the email address registered to the account
• Asking you to sign in to the account
• Confirming your username, recent course activity, or order details
• Requesting limited additional information where necessary to confirm account ownership
We will not ask you to provide your password by email or through the deletion request form.
If we cannot reasonably verify that you are the account owner, the deletion request may be delayed or declined for security reasons.
EXPECTED PROCESSING TIME
We aim to acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
Once your identity has been verified, we aim to complete the account deletion process within 30 calendar days.
Complex requests, legal retention requirements, unresolved transactions, active disputes, or security investigations may require additional time.
If this happens, we will inform you of the reason for the delay.
HOW YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED
We will send updates to the email address linked to your account or to the email address supplied in the deletion request.
You may receive:
• Confirmation that your request has been received
• A request for additional verification information
• Confirmation that your account has been deleted or anonymised
• An explanation of any information that must be retained and why
• Notification if the request cannot be completed
Once deletion is complete, you may no longer be able to sign in, access purchased courses, view progress, retrieve quiz results, or download certificates linked to the deleted account.
